Georgia-Pacific Huntsville is seeking to hire General Labor workers, which is the entry level position in Production. General labor works in a production capacity with an opportunity to advance as openings occur.
Applicants must be available to work any of 3 production shifts and scheduled overtime, including occasional weekend work.
Basic
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Must have at least 2 years of industrial manufacturing experience
Must be willing to work any shift, holidays, weekends and overtime as needed
Must be willing to work in a hot, humid and noisy manufacturing environment
Must be willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating a forklift
Experience using computers for basic record keeping and documentation functions
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
100% commitment to safety and organizational goals
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
Mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot machine problems
Basic Computer skills
