Come join Lockheed Martin's Glide Phase Interceptor (GPI) Program to design, develop, and test a hypersonic defense interceptor for the Aegis Weapon System; delivering this mission-critical capability to our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Customer and Warfighters. As an Avionics Certified Principle Engineer (CPE)/Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art Avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment. In this role, you will:
o Perform as a lead responsible product engineer for the development of processor and control electronics . o Lead design reviews, Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) hardware discrepancy decisions and Failure Review Board (FRB) as required. o Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generation, review and presentation of Product Certification, and also support system level testing. o Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives. o Collaborate with subcontract management to provide technical support, provide and participate in mentorship opportunities and professional development, all while serving as a technical interface to GPI management, systems engineering, quality, and our customer counterparts. WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
o Experience with missile avionics design, build, and test. o Combination of experience in:
engineering project management, supplier management, annual budget proposals, technical evaluations, tracking and development of cost/schedule. o Exposure to or participation with failure investigations, root cause analysis, and/or corrective action disposition. YOU WILL TYPICALLY HAVE:
o 14 - 20
years of professional experience for this role. o Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship required.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
