Senior Analyst (Financial), Business Operations

Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Operations to join our team in Huntsville, AL .
Working closely with a lead Business Specialist, you will prepare and maintain budgets, establish earnings plans, and develop estimates at completion of assigned government aerospace/defense projects.
Under supervision, this role will apply Earned Value Management, finance, and accounting skills; approve requisitions and prepare financial reporting on major defense programs; use metrics associated with management best practices; and prepare reports to reflect awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash.
You may assist proposal teams, develop Bases-of-Estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed.

ft.
manufacturing facility near the Huntsville airport that will specialize in the production and assembly of inert solid rocket motor components.

20% - Review and analyze contract status/progress and prepare variance analysis reports apprising management of trends and anomalies which effect performance.
10% - Evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data (Risk Management) in various forms and formats using proper accounting principles, practices and procedures.
5% - Utilize organizational skills to effectively coordinate schedules and work flow utilizing the knowledge of operations (manufacturing, engineering, test, etc.
) as required to accomplish assigned activities and an understanding of business management systems.
5% - Using knowledge of governmental accounting methods, procedures and regulations, determine solutions to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts and practices.
Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and six (6) years of directly related experience (transactional accounting, audit or business analysis) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Additional Requirements:

Good analytical skills and be highly comfortable using Microsoft Excel for developing analysis tools, tabulating and charting data with complex data sets.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capable of working in a team environment.

Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Must be able to see beyond the spreadsheet.
Understand the customer needs and why, recommend or present solutions as required.
The ideal candidate would have one or more additional proficiencies in:

Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE);
Access databases;
ERP Systems & Manufacturing Environments;
Continuous Improvement.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
May require the ability to travel by air or auto.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
