Program Analyst/Mechanical Design Technician

The candidate will work closely with a team of Government and Industry engineers to provide program support for Weapon System Development and Science and Technology (S&T) activities.
The individual will provide support to the Aviation and Missile Center which is responsible for Science and Technology efforts that support the Army's Long Range Precision Fires Rockets and Missiles and Air and Missile Defense goals and objectives.
The candidate will assist/conduct weapon system trade studies to identify optimal system configurations and key technology drivers.
The candidate will participate in the development, maintenance, and use of models and simulations of required fidelity (engineering level, 3DOF, 6DOF, etc.
) to help derive system requirements and assess system performance.
Candidate will assist in mechanical design of concepts to include Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) This candidate will assist in development simulation models and tools to aid in the trade study analysis.
The candidate will participate in the analysis of all aspects of missile systems including concepts of employment, threat system identification and analysis, surveillance and fire control sensors, missile sensor systems, target tracking and extrapolation algorithms, aerodynamics, propulsion, controls, structures, and data links.
The candidate will participate in the development of weapon system performance requirements analysis and development.
The candidate will aid the Government Engineering team in assessing system performance, scenario development, and analysis.
The candidate must be able to work within a fast-paced environment, often with evolving requirements.
Education:
Associates Degree
Experience:
Minimum 15
year of relevant experience Required Skills:
Good communication skills and ability to present analysis findings.
Familiar with CAD software to include SolidWorks.
SolidEdge and CREO.
Familiar with coding languages to include FORTRAN, MATLAB, C++.
Demonstrated experience in DoD weapon systems analysis.
Experience in designing of complex weapon systems.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
