High Speed Systems Advanced Design Team Lead

Description Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented High Speed Systems Advanced Design Team Lead to join and lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex high speed systems problems.
With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, aerospace, cyber, space and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The candidate will provide hypersonics and high speed systems technical leadership within Leidos and Department of Defense customer community to design, develop, capture and execute missile system design programs.
We are seeking a creative, highly capable, and hard-working candidate to advance concepts, exploit groundbreaking technologies, and substantiate improvements for offensive hypersonic weapon systems.
In this technical position, the candidate will be expected to also apply deep domain knowledge to develop concepts providing prototype systems and sub-systems for our nation's defense.
The Advanced Design Team will provide concept development for subsystems and systems, though leadership in Dynetics and the hypersonic community in various domains relevant to hypersonic flight systems.
The candidate will work with other laboratories, Government organizations, and industry partners to achieve a coordinated, effective and efficient execution of customer needs.

in engineering, physics, mathematics, or relevant technical fields with a minimum of 15 overall years, 8 years of proven experience in missile and/or weapon system engineering, development, manufacturing, and/or fielding.
Detailed knowledge of missile/weapon system engineering, development, manufacturing, and fielding, including RF/IR sensor systems & associated phenomenology used for discrimination, guidance systems, launch vehicles, and payload integration.
Special subject matter expert knowledge and leadership in thermal protection systems, structures, guidance and control subsystems.
Demonstrated previous technical and or programmatic leadership role Partners with the government customer to develop the goals, strategy, and vision for this program including developing program tasks and programs.
Plans for integration of this system with core product lines.
Familiarity with top-level system engineering concepts associated with the Army, Navy and MDA.
Demonstrated success in developing and leading complex tasks that involve multiple laboratories and Government agencies.
Have excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Hold an active Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain TS/SCI level clearance.
Other Qualifications Candidate with TS clearance is preferred.
PhD preferred.
Security Requirements Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
This position is based out of Huntsville, AL with ability to work remotely (50%) and will require 25% travel.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $142,350.
00 - $219,000.
00 - $295,650.
00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
