We are looking for an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) System SoS Architect to join our team to work as a member of the PEO-MS Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office System Engineering (SE) Directorate contractor team to provide system engineering and system architecture expertise and oversight for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) system development in support of Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) missions.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Working with existing IFMC teams, as well as developing future FMS team capabilities.
Providing senior-level guidance regarding architectures, hardware engineering, integrated system testing, and system requirements, with an emphasis on hardware in the loop (HWIL) testing.
Developing briefings and documentation such as test plans, test network architectures, analysis of alternatives, reports, and technical briefings for IFMC SE leadership and foreign partners.
At a minimum you should have:
An active SECRET security clearance.
10+yrs direct experience with AMD systems, with specific system engineering or system architecting knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems:
IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, LTAMDS, Sentinel, AEGIS, CEC, or equivalent.
Demonstrable skills and experience in system hardware architectures, integration testing, interface development, requirements verification, HWIL test design, IP networking, or other system-of-systems hardware design.
Experience analyzing and verifying requirements and be capable of translating requirements into testable event objectives.
A bachelor's degree or higher in an ABET accredited school in a STEM program (e.
g.
engineering, physics, mathematics, etc).
Demonstrable software skills, such as use of spreadsheets, databases, scripting languages, or data parsing tools.
Proficiency in Linux OS.
Direct experience with hardware in the loop lab environments.
Familiarity with Host Nation/Foreign Technical and managerial staff and command-level officers is beneficial, but experience in FMS work is not a requirement.
The ability to respond to quick turn requests.
An extensive background in software development and system analysis may be substituted for limitations in above requirements.
The ability to travel occasionally in support of on-site activities of live and HWIL testing.
Current travel will be limited to the continental US, but foreign travel is a possibility.
