Job Description:
Human Resource Specialist The People Operations Coordinator is a member of the People Operations team and works closely in the People Operations functions and duties.
This position is a full time, exempt, entry-level position.
The People Operations Coordinator is involved in each step of the employee life-cycle and works with the team to support all record maintenance and required reporting.
The People Operations Coordinator will report to the Director of People Operations and primarily assists with the daily function of the department.
Duties/Responsibilities Administer hiring activities to include on boarding emails, collection and organization of new hire paperwork, E-Verify submissions, and creation of new hire personnel file and on boarding checklists.
Draft and send Employment Agreements and Employment Agreement Modifications.
Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation.
Enter new hire data into HRIS.
Serve as one of the primary points of contact for People Ops Departmental email account.
Track all Employee status changes and communicate changes to People Ops Director on a semi-monthly basis.
Track and submit monthly State New Hire Reports.
Assist with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion particularly as related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, and diversity initiatives.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.
Maintain the structure and organization of On Boarding and Off Boarding sites on the Employee Records Portal.
Maintain On Boarding and Off Boarding trackers/reports and distribute to required departments daily.
Serve as the point of contact for all Employee changes, to include address, marital status, etc.
Assist with general filing and organization of employee hard and soft files.
Administer Verification of Employment responses.
Maintain all data in personnel information systems and databases.
Employee will also perform such other duties as are customarily performed by other persons in similar such positions, as well as such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications/Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field and two years of professional experience in human resource administration, or four years of professional experience in human resource administration.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task Proficienct in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension) Clearance - Clean crime and credit background check.
Location - Yorktown Headquarters, Huntsville, AL.
Telework is not authorized.
Travel - No travel.
