The candidate will coordinate and interface with multiple HLS engineering disciplines, system elements, cross-program elements, and customers, as well as participate in HLS EHP reviews, meetings, working groups, task teams, and trade studiesThe successful candidate will work with the Human Landing System to EHP element customers/partners from inception to deployment to ensure stakeholder needs are satisfied.
The candidate will coordinate and interface with multiple HLS engineering disciplines, system elements, cross-program elements, and customersThe successful candidate will work with the Human Landing System element customers/partners from inception to deployment to ensure stakeholder needs are satisfied, as well as participate in HLS reviews, meetings, working groups, task teams, and trade studies.
The tasks that the candidate will perform include:
Support the development of key systems engineering products to support program/project milestones and the subsequent activities where these products are assessed and matured.
Provide technical integration including risk-based insight through traceability and assessment of interface design activities and their associated schedules.
Perform technical assessments of proposed internal and external interface requirements to understand the impacts imposed by modifications.
Provide support for Design Analysis Cycle (DAC) planning, execution, coordination, and integration for the interface definition and interface control requirements to assure design compliance.
Communicate issues, best practices, lessons-learned and other technical positions related to systems engineering, requirement management, and integration practices and procedures.
Become familiar with tools and products needed for workflow, Requirements document management, reporting, and archiving.
Identify, describe, and communicate potential risks related to the products, processes and interactions in the systems engineering processes and document them in the NASA Risk Management System.
Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor or master's degree in systems engineering, aerospace, or related field is requiredDegree from an ABET accredited institution preferredTypically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of a master's with at least 28 years of experience, or BS with at least 30 years of experience.
Experience in Leading Technical Teams.
Familiarity with HLS and EHP programs.
Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation software.
