Senior Property Accountability Specialist with Security Clearance

Summary DAS Services is seeking an experienced Property Accountability Specialist to join our team in Redstone Arsenal, ALResponsibilitieso Serves as the Senior Property Accountability Specialist for the project office performing independent tasks for the overall planning, coordination, management and growth of property accountability and supply support activities, as well as procedures necessary for the proper administration of the programs.
o Serves as an advisor on property accountability and supply support activities and other program analysis to assist in the management decision making process within the Project OfficeAdvises on and interprets laws, regulations, policies and standards, and their basis or authority for decisions, and the resulting changes requiredrepresents the organization in meetings on matters pertaining to property accountabilityDevelops, analyzes, evaluates, and promotes improvements in directives, and procedures pertaining to supply and property accountability.
o Conducts or participates in studies on matters such as internal property accountability or establishment of a centralized supply programManages in excess of 2,000 line items of various types of equipment for the programDevelops and recommends new structures and workflowsAdvises management of potential controversies and potential problem areas, and recommends measures designed to reduce or eliminate the problemsExplains related technical considerations to affected employees.
o Conducts projects and studies on major issues addressing the supply and/or maintenance aspects of Property accountabilityUpon assignment of new requirement, conducts initial research and analysis to define problems and to determine depth of analysis neededConducts data collection through site visits to buildings, written requests, and telephonic discussionsProvide logistical building support to specified missions and other designated programs.
o Provides accurate information for the property book in both Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Auto-Scan Tracking System (ASTS).
o Participate in a variety of special projects involving new or complex property and/or supply initiatives at the direction of the supervisorProvides direction to other team membersProjects can range from simple to complexMaintains effective rapport in negotiating acceptance of organizational property accountability needs, which may require new and innovative approaches from previous practicesRequired Qualifications & Experienceo Active Secret Clearanceo High School Diplomao Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
o Ability to multi-task and prioritize important, competing tasks and information.
o Self-starter that needs little direction/guidance on what next steps are required with projects and demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
o 10
years of directly traceable experienceo Experience with Army or DoD logistics systems including DPAS and ASTSo Experience with inventory management, tracking and accountabilityo Experience with Packing, Handling, Storage, and Transportationo Travel:
