The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agencys highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.The ideal candidate will provide oversight of technical activities performed by the teams personnel and provide them with necessary guidance, as well as serve as an escalation point to other personnel and to provide technical expertise and advice to the government in the area of network configurations and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks. Provide technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks. Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes. Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions. Use the FBI Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.
Qualifications:
Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and analyzing complex networks Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems. Must have good knowledge of general network and security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists. Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.Preferred Skills and
Qualifications:
CCNA or higher certification A.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information.
