Sr. Contracts Manager with Security Clearance
R-00129580 Description Leidos currently has an opening for an expert Senior Contracts Manager to support our Land Systems Business Area within the Defense Systems SectorThis is an exciting opportunity to use your skills and experience to support the research, development, and production of cutting-edge technology to protect our warfighters and countryThe selected candidate will report to the Contracts Director and support all contract management activities for a diverse portfolio of contractsIndividual contributor roleThe position is based in Huntsville, Alabama with telework availablePrimary Responsibilities Provide the oversight and evaluation of major proposals; monitor major contracts; recommend and implement new solutions to achieve functional objectives; be a critical asset in key negotiations; demonstrate ability to resolve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise; resolve performance issues; identify risks and propose mitigation strategies; ensure compliance with Leidos policies, and develop and maintain excellent customer relationshipsCandidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Must be a consummate team player, routinely interacting with programs, contracts, procurement, finance, project control, legal and export control team members. Proactively engage with Government and industry contracting counterparts to be responsive to customer requirements Lead the review and analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs) in order to identify and mitigate contract risks. Review and negotiate Teaming Agreements, Nondisclosure Agreements, License Agreements and OCI Mitigation Plans. Basic Qualificationso BA degree
12 or more years of relevant experience; or Master's or Juris Doctor degree
10 or more years of relevant experience.o Candidate must have in depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, and Cost Plus).o Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.o Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; proven history of building a team environment, fostering communication, listening to staff concerns, and reconciling internal issues or differences.o Experience with Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and other legal instruments a mustAdditionally, candidate will have a strong background in Federal Acquisition Regulations.o Remote performance may be consideredHowever, candidate must travel to Huntsville or other alternate locations on a regular basis.o Must be a U.Scitizen and possess a final secret clearancePreferred Qualifications Candidate must be a U.SCitizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret ClearanceOriginal Posting Date:
