Summary:
Mid-Career Configuration/Data Management (CDM) professional proficient in performing the configuration and data management functions for Space Launch System (SLS) Program and Element offices at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will perform all configuration and data management functions utilizing Windchill and Microsoft Office products. The position requires knowledge in all five functions of Configuration Management:
Planning, Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting and Audits/Verification. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility as well as the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. Particular skills/experience in standing up the CM and DM functions for a complex vehicle development project including experience as a Configuration Control Board (CCB) Secretariat or supporting a CCB are desired. Additionally, this position may require interface with Prime Contractor to process data deliverables and facilitate participation in the Program or Element change control process. The ability to understand the change management process and how to manage the technical baseline are key characteristics of this position. The successful candidate will be able to take a proactive approach in working with existing CDM personnel to establish and manage required processes.Principal Duties and Responsibilities may include:
Interface with project personnel and personnel at other NASA Centers to implement all aspects of the CM and DM functions. Provide guidance and recommendations on the establishment of CM and DM processes for projects. Participate in the maintenance of the CM and/or DM Plan for the Element following Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) guidelines. Manage and facilitate project Control Board as the Secretariat- including generating agendas and minutes as well as action tracking. Manage project data in the ICE Windchill environment. Assist senior CDM team member in maintaining processes to manage the baseline and their participation in the SLS Program Office change management function. Perform the Configuration Status Accounting function utilizing an ACCESS or Jira database or Excel spreadsheet. Work with project personnel to coordinate the review process and to ensure completeness of their product prior to presentation to the control board. Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), ITAR and other export control or proprietary data following NASA and MSFC requirements and guidelines. Job Specifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of applicable experience is required, to include CMDM using systems and electronic tools. A Masters degree may be used to substitute for 3 years experience. The following may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree requirement:
Associates Degree and 2 additional yrs experience -or- High School Diploma and 4 additional yrs experience. o Experience as a Configuration Control Board Secretariat or equivalent is desired. o Previous experience on the SLS Program or Elements is strongly desired. o Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Power Point) is required. o Strong organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills are required. o Experience in the use of CDM systems such as Windchill or SharePoint or equivalent is desired. o Certification in CDM or related field such as the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Certification is desired. o Ability to obtain clearance/access onsite at NASA MSFC is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr Recommended Skills Agenda Development Attention To Detail Auditing Change Management Configuration Management Coordinating Apply to this job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
