Mechanical Design Engineer
Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problemsWith offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The position will lead the execution of mechanical design and engineering tasks supporting the Department of Defense, intelligence, and missile applicationsCandidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering & design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, & composite component partsCandidate will be responsible for bill of material development and component specification for mechanical assembliesCandidate must be able to apply engineering design processes, such as design for manufacture, drawing production, configuration management, and integration and development of complex mechanical systems.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityCandidate must have a minimum of 12
years of experience or 10
years with MS degreeDemonstrated experience in the following areas:
Mechanical design of structuresCAD and 3D ModelingDrawing production in accordance with ASME Y14.
100Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL areaOriginal Posting Date:
