The Outpatient Registrar is responsible for registering patients for Outpatient and Inpatient Services by obtaining all necessary information pertaining to demographics and claim preparation ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
The Outpatient Registrar will assist in other registration areas in time of need.
The registrar is responsible for providing notification to the Insurance companies of treatment/admission when applicable, performing registration quality assurance checks, exercising good judgment in making decisions concerning accounts in order to secure payment arrangements and conducts patient interviews to obtain registration information, complete required forms and obtains signatures.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
