As a Respiratory Therapist, at Crestwood Medical Center ED Harvest, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Respiratory Therapist License issued by the State of Alabama
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certifications

About the Job:

  • Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
  • Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and general care areas.
  • Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.
  • Initiates, monitors and manages patient's oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.
  • Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.

Crestwood Medical Center ER - Harvest is the first freestanding emergency department in north Alabama and will bring emergency services closer to residents of one of the fastest growing communities in the state and will reduce patient wait-times at other emergency departments. The facility offers the same services as the emergency department at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville. We are committed to bringing more access to healthcare services that the residents need and deserve.
Similar to any hospital emergency department, the new Crestwood ER is equipped to treat patients with illnesses and injuries that require a higher level of care than urgent care facilities offer. The 11,047 square foot facility has 10 private patient rooms with radiology and lab services on site as well as a helicopter pad for patient transfer as appropriate. Many emergency services can be effectively managed at a freestanding emergency department without the need for transfer to a traditional hospital setting. If a higher level of care is required, a patient can be transported quickly to Crestwood Medical Center or the facility of their choice. The new freestanding ER is located at the corner of Highway 53 and Burwell Road. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
