Description
This position is responsible for providing Project Management services on assigned projects throughout the site. The Project Engineer must utilize all applicable company procedures, standards and meet all regulatory requirements in the execution of an end product that achieves all design, cost and schedule requirements.
Develops project scopes, generates and/or obtains cost estimates, and prepares appropriation funding requests. Ensures that appropriate project safety reviews are completed as required both before and after approval. Utilizes applicable value-improving practices (VIP's) to optimize project scope and costs.
Seeks compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotes a safe working environment for project execution.
Develops and maintains partnerships with assigned project manufacturing representatives to execute projects from initial scoping and funding, through detailed engineering and procurement, to startup and commissioning, and then final documentation and closure.
Requests and coordinates required process, design engineering and design resources (whether from the site, corporate groups or outside engineering vendors) to prepare engineering design deliverables and to procure equipment, fabricated materials, and services.
Adheres to current corporate and plant requirements for equipment/materials specifications and vendor preferences
May also provide support as a discipline engineer for assigned projects, based on engineering degree, background, or experience.
Creates and maintains SAP project data entries, develops and monitors project progress through scheduling and other tools, performs project status reporting, and controls spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments.
Performs procurement activities as required, including preparing specifications, issuing requisitions, evaluating bids, and dealing with vendors. Works with Procurement and complies with applicable guidelines.
Requests necessary construction and commissioning resources from Contractors and others as required to install the scope of work.
Monitors and supports construction activities to ensure that projects are completed according to the design deliverables, quality standards, and plant requirements, and that pre-startup safety reviews are conducted.
Follows through to ensure that Operations achieves a successful project startup, and that any project-related action items are completed.
Closes projects per guidelines, and ensures proper documentation of files, records, databases, and drawings to meet regulatory and company requirements.
Promotes identification of lessons learned from completed projects to improve work practices.
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
8
years of experience in Engineering - Capital Project experience highly desirable
Practical, working knowledge of chemical processes, process equipment, and general project execution is required
Demonstrated ability to lead and participate effectively in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral, and to build relationships with individuals at multiple levels of the organization
Strong technical and problem-solving ability
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments at the same time while meeting the agreed upon schedule and results
Preferred
Ability to innovate and sell ideas to improve the cost, schedule and execution of projects will be highly valued
Previous SAP experience is desired
Good understanding of slurry preparation and coating processesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
