Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager will lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, develop the appropriate capabilities and provide the direct interface for developing strong customer relationships. The role is accountable for directing and coordinating the activities of the engineering department to design, manufacture and test components, products and systems.
Directs and coordinates all work by engineers, support personnel and outside groups involved in the design, development, drafting and prototype construction and testing of new products. Works closely with Manufacturing/Operations to ensure the products smooth transition to production.
Day to day management of the team, monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators, internally and at customer reviews.
Manages and ensures the completion of projects in a timely fashion. Maintains project records and reporting progress against timeline, technical, cost and targets
Contributes sound advice and creative ideas, concepts and approaches to new product design and development projects
Works closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure market demands are translated into a fully developed product specification
Education:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering
Experience:
8-10 years of product development experience
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
