Description:
Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, this salaried exempt position exists to ensure the effective production of components for the heat & cool industry to meet customer requirements by managing the daily operations.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for daily production and maintenance of a section of the plant.
o Direct Reports include salaried supervisors and hourly employees (100-150 supervised).
o Train and develop operations personnel into high performance teams with unified objectives and strategic direction.
o Monitor technical operation of the plant to assure quality, low cost product.
o Lead the daily operations regarding matters of productivity, maintenance, quality, costs, and safety.
o Lead the production supervisors in support of the daily operations team's strategic objectives.
o Serve as a member of the Technical Support Team for the Operations Director.
o Participate in setting of the plant goals and objectives and monitor performance to assure continuous improvement.
o Maintain a high level of safety and environmental performance.
Required Education/Skills/Experience
o Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing management, manufacturing engineering, or a related field OR equivalent combination of related education and experience.
5 to 10 years of management & supervisory experience in the general manufacturing/production environment.
o Thorough knowledge of general manufacturing technology and methods.
o Strong collaborative leadership skills to lead and direct plant and technical personnel.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed to interface with colleagues at all levels, as well as customers.
Other
o General knowledge of mechanical and instrument operations and maintenance.
o High interest in talent development.
o Self-confidence for performing above targets and goals.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
