Summary
Serve as Multi-functional Logistician responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, managing and reviewing all actions concerning Army Materiel Command s Global logistics efforts. Assist in providing effective life cycle logistics support and guidance relating to procurements as well as repair, overhaul, reset, and modification requirements, for all assigned systems. Assist in providing oversight to assure timely integration of new or changing logistics (maintenance and supply) concepts and develop methods and techniques required for program execution. Coordinates all necessary actions to plan and develop maintenance and supply policy, establish maintenance criteria and prescribe and/or allocate all required maintenance products such as parts, tools, test equipment, overhaul standards and maintenance and repair procedures for assigned hardware programs. Assist in establishing priorities and plans for the organization by analyzing mission assignments and establishing program objectives for accomplishment of assigned functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop strategies to build Army-wide Combat Readiness
Develop and brief logistic strategic operation at the at the 4 Star General Levels
Provide timely and accurate disposition guidance for the distribution and redistribution of Army-wide excess
Provides 100% accountability and in-transit visibility for all Army-wide redistribution and distribution efforts
Synchronize equipment redistribution efforts and planning between multiple Army Commands
Develop and brief logistic strategic operation at the at the 4 Star General Levels
Integrate analytical capabilities and application of logistics principles.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Must be US citizen
Must have a Secret clearance or higher
15 years directly related work experience in Multi-functional Logistics
Familiarity with Standard Army Management Information Systems
Effective team player, who works well under pressure, solves complex problems with multidisciplinary principles and quantitative methods of study and analysis.
Provide constant focus on methods to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency in the organization.
Desired:
Senior level experience in Army logistics is highly desirable
Bachelor s degree desired (Masters preferred)
Army Command and General Staff College Graduate preferred
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite applications (includes MS Project, MS Excel Spreadsheets & MS Access)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
General office environment; may occasionally be required to lift up to 20lbs
Must be able to walk, bend, reach and sit for extended periods of time.
