ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CHEMICAL)

US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-5 One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) coordinating pick-up and delivery schedules of chemical agents or toxic industrial materials (2) calibrating automatic detectors by referencing training and reference publications and (3) documenting results related to toxic industrial chemicals/materials operations. OR Successfully completed a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction, or industrial technology or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and some education leading to a bachelor's degree but less than required in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-6 One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) participating in daily operations of chemical or hazardous materials (2) reporting data from hand held chemical agent detectors to analyze toxic agent activity levels and (3) assisting to the response of chemical incidents or accidents. OR Successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the positon, such as engineering, construction, industrial technology, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, chemistry, emergency management or mathematics. OR The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some graduate level education as described in B, but less than the required half year. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-7 One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) assisting with packaging chemical materials in accordance with established guidelines (2) recording collected data gathered by hand held chemical agent detectors and (3) checking the functionality of systems to include air supplying systems, pumps or water dispersal systems. OR Successfully completed one full academic year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as engineering, construction, industrial technology, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, chemistry, emergency management or mathematics (Note:

OR The specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some graduate level education as described in B, but less than the required one year. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
